LAHORE: Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar has thanked US Congress member Sheila Jackson for writing a letter to the US President and Secretary of State over India, Pakistan confrontation, ARY News reported.
A statement issued by the Governor House Lahore on Friday said.
Representative Jackson, in her letter demanded of the President Trump’s administration to name US Special Envoy for South Asia.
“I am grateful to Representative Jackson for writing the letter on my request,” Chaudhry Sarwar said in a statement.
Modi could involve in an aggressive act against Pakistan for election gains in India, Punjab governor said.
Sarwar urged the Pakistani community to raise the case at the world level.
Governor Sarwar also said that India is acting in an aggressive manner in Kashmir.
Sarwar said that Pakistan has taken positive steps after the Pulwama incident and the world is listening to Pakistan’s stance (over the matter).
He urged the United States administration to play its role to end tensions in the South Asian region.
Governor Sarwar said he has presented Pakistan’s stance in his meetings with Congressmen during his stay in the United States.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar earlier called on American Senator Gary Peter, discussed Pak-USA relations, Pak-India confrontation and the war on terror.
