Victory against Bangladesh will seal Pakistan's place in the Asia Cup final
MIRPUR: Pakistan and Bangladesh are scheduled to play the 8th match of Asia Cup at Shere Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
Pakistan is at the second position in the points table of Asia Cup and a victory against Bangladesh on Wednesday will book their birth in the final of Asia Cup with Sri Lanka.
Following the one wicket victory against India, Pakistan’s confidence will be on higher note.
Pakistan will want their openers Sharjeel Khan and Ahmed Shehzad to score runs, instead of leaving the responsibility to the middle order, which has been in form.
Furthermore, the Pakistan management confirmed Mohammad Talha was fit to play, and with Umar Gul and Junaid Khan, the pace attack will Test Bangladesh.
On the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan will be the part of playing XI for the match against Pakistan. His inclusion will strengthen the middle order.
Shakib Al Hasan will make return from a three-ODI suspension.
Bangladesh will hope their top order to perform well, who remained fail to display contribute well against Afghanistan.
The two teams last met in the final of Asia Cup 2012, in which Pakistan emerged victorious.
