The insect, which appeared to be a giant in the shot, invaded the early morning edition of BBC’s Reporting Scotland when it crept across the lens of the roof camera.
The insect was seen flying behind the head of journalist Emma Cameron.
The wasp, which takes up most of the background screen, is seen flying around Ms Cameron’s head before crawling up the screen behind her.
