Violence in Karachi: Two policemen among eight killed
KARACHI: The spate of killings haunting the business hub of Pakistan for a long time continued in Karachi as eight including two traffic police officers and a traffic warden lost their lives in different incidents of violence on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
According to police, two children were found dead at Gulshan e Bihar in Orangi Town while three people were killed in firing incidents in parts of Lyari.
Two back to back attacks have been done at Police and Rangers during the gap half hour.
Unidentified armed men entered in traffic check post at Sohrab Goth and opened fire killing two traffic police officers, who were identified as Wali Mohammad and Allah Ditta.
In another incident militants attacked Rangers with gun shots in the area of Burns Road, Rangers retaliated the attack and killed one militant while arrested another in injured condition.
Meanwhile, Police arrested five suspects allegedly involved target killing and extortions from Orangi Town and Pak Colony.
