A leaked contract has circulated on the internet stating that former cricketer Waseem Akram has been appointed as the honorary CEO of  ride-hailing company Careem effective April 16, 2017.

“The Honorary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will commence service with Careem Pakistan Networks Ltd as from 16th April 2017,” said the contract.

Both parties have refused to comment. If true, this could be the strangest career move for the Sultan of Swing.

Well at least, the Careem Captains will now have the most experienced Captain of Pakistan. More details are awaited.

Careem is a transportation network company based in Dubai and a pioneer company in ‘sharing economy’. Its mission is to make people’s lives easier by revolutionising the transportation and logistics industry in the region.

Careem provides reliable, safe, convenient and affordable transport specifically tailored to suit your daily needs. With Careem you can book a ride on their app or website.
