MOSCOW: A bizarre was recorded on camera when Russian police officers forced a 7-feet volleyball player for being too tall to fly.

The complaint was floated by flight attendants who claimed star Alexander Kimerov, 20, was blocking the aisle with his long legs.

The crew from Pobeda Airlines called the police and three uniformed officers then removed him from the service from Novy Urengoy in Siberia to Moscow.

He tried to swap to another seat but was refused by a flight attendant, even though he had flown the route previously.

Moscow Dynamo volleyball player Alexander Volkov expressed shock at the player’s treatment, and posted the video of the incident on his social media.

He said: ‘What’s going on with this world, friends? A man is being taken off plane because of his height.

‘And not just an ordinary man but a prominent sportsman who plays for Russia.

‘I am astounded by incompetence of police officers who took part in the incident.’
