Veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna hit the news headlines earlier this week after pictures of him in poor health started going rounds on the social media. The snaps were followed by rumours of his death.
But some Indian ruling party lawmakers fell for the rumours of the actor’s death and went a step ahead by offering a two-minute silence for the veteran actor. Reportedly, before starting the party meeting, party General Secretary David Kharsati asked the members to hold a two-minute silence as a tribute to the departed soul of the veteran actor.
The incident went viral within a few hours of its happening. However, the party later came up with a clarification stating that few of their members had seen the news of his demise on television and they believed it without verifying.
The party issued an apology for the same and said that the actor is responding well to the treatment.
