A video has emerged of a deep-fried fish appearing to twitch and move around while on a serving tray of a restaurant in China.
Seen next to three other fried fish, it begins to move, enough that it partially opens and its cooked meat can be seen.
A woman can be heard screaming and saying “Oh no, no no! It’s cracking”.
The video is said to have been taken in Hengyang, Hunan Province in southern China. Web users commented that it was ‘too cruel’ to fry a fish while it’s still alive.
Another person suggested that the fish had not been fried long enough as the nerve cells reacted to the stimuli.
