WATCH: Volcano shows ‘smiley face’ during eruption in Hawaii

A videographer has captured a stunning image of volcano eruption in Hawaii which clearly looks like a smiley face.

Mick Kalber with Paradise Helicopters flew over the 80-foot-deep crater, he shot what appears to be smiley expression.


Currently erupting, Kilauea is the most active of the five volcanoes that comprise the island of Hawai’i. The caldera (a very large crater formed by collapse) is about 2 miles wide and more than 3 miles long.




According to CNet, The footage comes from late June, but was released on YouTube on Sunday. The smiley face has been in the volcanic cone at least since February, but it recently blew up on the internet.
