WATCH: Woman cricketer returns home on bike from airport after playing for Pakistan in World Cup

TOP NEWS

LAHORE: Pakistan women cricket team fluffed badly in the ICC Women’s World Cup that just recently concluded in England, prompting renewed clamours for shake-up in the team.

The players who participated in the tournament arrived home just like ordinary citizens with no welcome or reception, for reasons known to all of us.

But, an unusual moment was witnessed during return of a player at Lahore airport. Nashra Sandhu, who debuted this year in February, and considered to be a fine bowler in the team, was spotted heading home on a motorbike with her father.

The video of the moment went viral on the social media, with some users taking exception to the Pakistan Cricket Board for snubbing the national women’s cricket team and failing to arrange any transport. But it wasn’t clear whether the cricket board made any arrangements for players returning home.

During the mega tournament, Pakistan team played against South Africa, England, India, Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka and all against all the opponents.

Here’s the video:
