Waziristan Qaumi Jirgah demands a safe way out for locals

PESHAWAR: Waziristan Qaumi Jirgah has demanded for a safe passage for the local tribesmen to migrate from North Waziristan, in the wake of ongoing military operation there – ARY News reports.

According to details, members of Waziristan Qaumi Jirgah held a press conference earlier today to address the issue of displacement of local tribesmen, in the wake of operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Malik Gul Naeem represented the jirgah, tribal elders demanded a safe way out for common tribesmen.

They said that it is difficult to reside in camps in such a hot weather and demanded the authorities to make arrangements for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) to live in government schools.

Tribal elders said that the Government has not made any arrangements for operation affectees so far.

Moreover, they also demanded to end hours’ long process of checking at Bannu Road.
