ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the board of World Bank (WB) will approve funding for Dasu Dam on Tuesday, June 10, ARY News reported.
Informing the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, the minister said there was no need of obtaining no objection certificate (NOC) from India or any other country to construct Bhasha Dam.
He said the first phase of Dasu Dam will complete during the tenure of incumbent government.
The finance minister told that government had increases Rs 6,000 in annual stipend of Benazir Income Support Program. He said increase up to 20% in medical allowance of grade-16 government employees had been made.
Regarding tax collection, Dar said federal government could not collect tax on agriculture income as stated under the Constitution.
