KARACHI: Weather turned pleasant as it was drizzling in various parts of the metropolis early Saturday morning, ARY News reported.
The meteorological department has predicted cloudy weather in the city throughout the day with light rainfall at isolated places to push down the mercury on the scale.
According to the Met office, the rain causing light to moderate monsoon currents are penetrating in northern and eastern parts of Pakistan and a shallow westerly wave affecting upper parts of the country will likely to persist during the next 12 hours.
The weather office also predicted mostly hot and humid weather across the country. However, rain/thundershowers with gusty winds are expected at isolated places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, D.G Khan, Malakand, Hazara, Zhob, Kalat, Islamabad and Kashmir in the next 24 hours.
Various parts of the country received light to heavy rain yesterday, said the Met office, adding rain/thundershowers with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Kohat, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, D.I.Khan, FATA, Barkhan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan whereas the weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the country.
