According to details, West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) rejected the offer of their Pakistani counterpart due to security reasons.

It should be noted that Pakistan and West Indies were to play a full series in the United Arab Emirates but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had offered to host the Caribbean nation for the limited overs series.

The teams will now play the ODI series in UAE after the rejection by WICB.
In 2009, terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team as the side was on its way to Gaddafi stadium.

Zimbabwe became the first test playing nation to tour Pakistan in 2015. The side played a ODI and T20 series on the tour.
