Whatmore leaves for home today

LAHORE: Dave Whatmore, the former coach of Pakistan cricket team, is all set to leave for home today after completing his two year contract agreement with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ARY News reports on Friday.

PCB had appointed Whatmore as the coach of the national team for a period of two year. Although his tenure was full of ups and downs but he still completed his contract conditions.

He finished his tenure with a grand win against the Sri Lankan team in the third test at Sharjah. Pakistan also won their second Asia Cup under Whatmore's guidance.

The green shirts also defeated India and South Africa at their home grounds under his leadership skills whereas the team's test performance was disappointing during his time.

PCB also gave a farewell ceremony in Whatmore's honor earlier.
