Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has always been at the center of one controversy or the other over the years. His family, which consists of wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, have always attracted media attention. Long before Big B was married, his rumoured affair with actress Rekha used to be the talk of the B-town.
Hence, it might not seem all that difficult to decipher that over the years, Jaya and Rekha haven’t shared a good rapport with each other. And the main reason, is Amitabh Bachchan of course. The two actresses have been known to avoid each other at social events and aren’t also known for their budding friendship.
It is exactly for this very reason that people were a little surprised when Amitabh’s ex-flame Rekha and his wife Jaya met at the Star Screen Awards and hugged each other. Not only that, they also sat next to each other and seemed to have a lovely time at the awards. Sitting next to the ladies was Bollywood’s stunner Deepika Padukone.
Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha and Jaya Bachchan had starred way back in the 1981 film Silsila. Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan tied the knot in 1973 and throughout most of Amitabh’s career in the 70s and 80s, his alleged love affair with Rekha was always a talked-about matter. Hence, the two actresses considered each other as rivals and were not much chummy during their heydays.
Seems like Rekha and Jaya have hugged out their differences. Did Amitabh Bachchan had anything to do with this little embrace?
