When stars came down for premiere celebrations of ‘Dobara Phir Se’ in Karachi
KARACHI: The sky above the city was certainly clear Wednesday night because almost all the stars were walking on the red carpet premiere of Mehreen Jabbar’s heavily anticipated Pakistani film ‘Dobara Phir Se’ with a high-glam glitz.
The red carpet film premiere held at Nueplex Cinema Karachi where leading actors of the film including Hareem Farooq, Adeel Husain, Sanam Saeed, Atiqa Odho, Tooba Siddiqui and Shaz Khan made their appearances one-by-one and posed for the cameras along with their friends, family and a long star-list from the entertainment fraternity who joined the DPS team on this occasion.
Actor Ali Kazmi could not make the event last night for some unavoidable reasons, however, the elegant Sahira Kazmi did show up to enjoy her son’s performance in the movie.
Even though the red carpet segment of the star-studded night kicked-off late then its due time, as usual, the fans felt joyous when they saw some great celebs later on.
Tooba Siddiqui, clad in a fishtail dress, walked the red car and the premier night was started.
Soon the entire cast of the film was in front of the media, smiling excitingly, meeting fans, exchanging hugs with each other and of course, posing here and there briefly for photographers.
Next to hit the red carpet was Sanam Saeed in a stunner bold blue off-the-shoulder dressy outfit that went perfectly with her confident personality.
The heartthrob Adeel Husain (not John Abraham) mingled with his fans, as soon as he joined others, in an all-black formal suit.
Veteran actress Atiqa Odho and the very talented Shaz Khan, also key members of the film also came for the big night.
While the cast of the film enjoyed their time, one could feel little jumpiness on Mehreen Jabbar’s face, being the director of the movie who only works when she wants to and that too, without comprising on quality.
An absolute flawless and beautiful, Mahira Khan also walked the red carpet in a snazzy outfit, to everyone’s surprise and jazzed up the event.
DPS is set to be released on November 25 under the banner of ARY Films and has been produced by Salman Iqbal. Mohammad Jerjees Seja and Mehreen Jabbar are the co-producers.
The film is a love tale that revolves around characters played by Adeel Husain and Hareem Farooq while Sanam Saeed, Ali Kazmi, Shaz Khan, Tooba Siddiqui and Atiqa Odho appear in important roles.
DPS will certainly take you to a rollercoaster of emotions from the very beginning, introducing you to the main cast of the movie in the first half.
By the way, the film has no resemblance, at all, with any of the Bollywood flicks as being rumoured. In fact, DPS gives you a refreshing flavour of Mehreen’s work that you will see after eight years since her first film ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ was released back in 2008.
As if, it has become a newest trend in Pakistani films, DPS also has a brilliantly colourful wedding number, featuring the main cast.
In all, it was a great night and a great movie.
The fabulous Yasir Hussain, Maria Wasti, melodious Zoe Viccaji and Sara Haider, model Nadia Hussain, Sanam Baloch with her husband, Waqar Zaka, Sheheryar Munawwar, Nida Yasir, Ayesha Toor, Asif Raza Mir, Samina Ahmed and a long list of other famed names enjoyed DPS and their popcorn buckets at the premier show.
We wonder the Nueplex Cinema Karachi did not run short of popcorns yesterday but it is highly recommended that you must book your seats for ‘Dobara Phir Se’ today before the cinemas near you run out of tickets.
