WASHINGTON: White House rejected an India backed petition to declare Pakistan a terrorist state by terming it “unacceptable”.

White House rejected the petition as it contained too many false signatures, media reports said.

In a statement White House stated that the petition does not meet the criteria.

According to a spokesperson, the petition has been taken down by the pro-India congressmen after the signatures were proven fake.

However, White House has not stated as to how many signatures on the petition were fake and whether it will be restored or not.

It should be noted that a similar petition seeking to declare India a terrorist state over atrocities in Kashmir have also been submitted to the United States which is open for signatures.
