Whoever leaked my report should be punished: Waqar Younis

LAHORE: Head Coach of Pakistan cricket team Waqar Younis has said that leaking of his report regarding Pakistan’s performance in the 2016 World Twenty20 was a big crime and those found responsible should be punished, ARY News reported.

Waqar Younis, in an exclusive interview in the program 11th Hour with Waseem Badami, said that leaking of his report reflects the failure of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Younis said that the report which he presented back in 2015 was not implemented as well.

The Head Coach said that Pakistan is his identity and have always thought for its betterment.

Younis said that he is willing to step down if the cricket board wants him to.

“Other coaches will also be complaining if the situation remains the same. There are problems in the PCB and solutions for the issues to be figured out” he added.

The Head Coach added that the elements terming him a “black sheep” should be ashamed of themselves.

He also claimed that PCB’s Head of Executive Committee Najam Sethi does not pick up his phone. He went on to say that meeting Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Riaz Pirzada was “his right”.
