While the parents to the newly born were congratulated by friends and fans alike on this wonderful occasion. The thing which irked some Hindu conservatives was why he named his son with a Muslim name ?
Thankfully, this cynicism has not been entertained and people have come forward and showed their distaste over such comments.
21st century and we see religion in names. Time to put humanity first?
Say after me, my religious beliefs are in no way superior to yours. Your beliefs are equal to mine.#ZainKapoor

The real reason why Shahid named his son Zain is because Shahid’s mother Neelima Azeem had chosen her grandson’s name even before he was born.
“It was decided even before Misha (the firstborn daughter of Shahid ) was born.If it was a girl she would be named Misha, a concoction of both the parents names (Mi + Sha) and if its a son he will be named Zain. I shared my preference for the name with the parents and they both loved it immediately,” Shahid’s mother told Indian media.
Zain Kapoor, who is now just a week old, has already been gracing headlines as his name is now being compared with Taimur Ali Khan, the son of Kareena and Saif Ali Khan.
