LAHORE: Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, said that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will not be allowed to take over the country, ARY News reports on Wednesday.
Speaking to media outside Punjab University after the inauguration of a science and technology conference, Ahsan Iqbal said that it would have been better if the former President and Army Chief Pervez Musharraf faced the courts with bravery.
Further speaking, Ahsan Iqbal said that General Raheel Sharif proved that the military is an institution which respects the constitution.
“The actions he took are the reasons of his defamation”, he added.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development said that the state will not be allowed to become a hostage to Taliban militants and all the necessary steps will be taken for peace in the country.
