Woman injured as India open unprovoked fire at Line of Control
RAWALPINDI: A woman was injured as Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing at Line of Control (LOC) on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
According to a spokesman of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian military targeted Pakistani population at Bhimber sector due to which a woman was injured.
The injured woman was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The incident of firing by Indian forces also damaged several houses in the populated area.
Pakistani soldiers gave a befitting reply to the Indian forces and targeted the check-posts that were firing in Pakistani territory.
Pakistan and India are at loggerheads as the Narendra Modi-led Indian government accused Pakistan for the attack on Indian military base in Uri sector of the Occupied Kashmir last year.
Seventeen Indian soldiers were killed in the attack on the military base.
The Indian military also claimed to have carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan without providing any evidence to support their claim.
Six Indian soldiers, who were trying to infiltrate into Pakistani territory, were killed by the Pakistani forces whereas one of the total 15 military men was also captured by the Pakistan Army following the clash in November 2016.
