Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is known for her controversial statements and the ability to tel what’s what. The actress recently became the most highest paid actress in the Indian film industry, charging a whopping Rs 11 crore per film. Kangana Ranaut shared her thoughts on how Bollywood treats women badly, especially when they are not well known.

“I feel when I was struggling, I was in a place where, you know, women were not respected. My attitude was very much like if I had to project my frustration, my evilness, so I might as well do it when I’m at my weakest,” she said. “And I’ve been a victim of that sort of frustration on many occasions.”

Kangana also revealed that directors were afraid to mistreat aspiring male actors when they were not well known, but not women.

“I felt that if they had respect for the top actress of today; if they knew that today she’s this way, but tomorrow she might become a Kangana, and she will then choose not to work with me, right? They had this attitude for guys back then. They will always assume that this guy – an upcoming actor, what if he becomes a star tomorrow? He would not work with me then… so I might as well choose to be nice. But women are not treated with the same attitude. Women, they treat really badly.”

Kangana Ranaut’s movie Katti Batti also stars actor Imran Khan. Aamir Khan, who is the uncle of Imran, came out of the theatre in tears after catching the flick. The response caused jokes on Aamir’s expense, since he had also replied and done the same at a Bajrangi Bhaijaan screening.
