Women empowerment, education needed for eradicating terrorism: Shahbaz Sharif
LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has said that for eradicating terrorism and extremism from the state, measures like empowering the women, spreading education and efforts from all walks of society are barely needed – ARY News reports.
Addressing a ceremony here on Friday, Shahbaz Sharif said that his government provided rights to the women higher than any other government in the past, yet it is just a beginning and a lot much is to be done in this regard.
He stated that the women need to be empowered and made strong economically, for eradicating terrorism and extremism from the state.
Shahbaz said that for this purpose, his government is providing small loans to the women for the sake of their health, education and employment.
