This is India’s first series win over Australia in any format of the game.

India won the toss and opted to field first.

The dark weather caused the match to be reduced to 18 overs per side. The hosts scored 125/8 in their 18 overs.

Meg Lanning and Jess Jonassen made 49 and 27 runs respectively for the team while Alex Blackwell and Beth Mooney contributed 12 and 10 runs as well.

Jhulan Goswami and Rajeshwari Gayakwad grabbed two wickets for the Indian side.

India were 52/0 in the eighth over when rain again interrupted play. The total was reduced to 66 runs from 10 overs. The Indian openers Mithali Raj and Smriti Mandhana guided the team to victory.

Raj scored 37 runs while Mandhana made 22 runs.

Jhulan Goswami was named Player of the Match.
