Workers’ disappearance: MQM to protest countrywide
KARACHI: The Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to hold protest demonstration in Karachi on Thursday and countrywide the next day against disappearance of its workers, ARY News reported.
MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi, while addressing a press conference at MQM Headquarters Nine Zero, said party workers were being detained and sent into hiding by plain-clothed officials. Action should be taken against illegal practice, he demanded.
He said MQM had previously raised reservations against Pakistan Protection Act.
The MQM demanded the prime minister, interior minister, inspector general police Sindh and additional IG to take action against the plain-clothed officials, illegally picking MQM workers in Karachi.
