World Bank likely to approve assistance for Dasu Hydel Power Project
ISLAMABAD: The World Bank (WB) has expressed affirmative response over the approval for the assistance of Dasu Hydel Power Project, ARY News reported.
The WB Country Director, Rachid Benmessaoud called on Federal Finance Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday and discussed issues related to World Bank assistance to Pakistan.
Rachid Benmessaoud said that WB is ready to approve the assistance for Dasu Hydel Power Project. He informed that the World Banks’ Managing Director (MD) Ms. Sri Mulyani Indrawati will visit Islamabad in the end of March to discuss Pakistan development projects.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar government of Pakistan wants to have World Bank's assistance for energy and developments projects of country.
The Ambassador of Japan, Hiroshi Inomata also called on Ishaq Dar on Monday.
Hiroshi Inomata said that according to Japanese company, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Pakistan holds second position for the business development progress.
