Renewed commitments mark World Stroke Day

The world today including Pakistan is commemorating World Stroke Day to make people aware of this fatal diseases. Many seminars and campaigns are being observed this day. World Stroke Organization WSO started to mark this day on October 29th 2006 and since then it is observed every year.

According to experts, the rate of stroke sufferers is the highest among the rate of entire disabled people. In every 10 second a person suffers from this disease. As per experts, women are more affected by stroke. It is caused by high blood pressure, cigarette smoking and tobacco products. Those who do not do exercise are an easy target of stroke.

Health experts say less use of salt, shunning cigarette and exercise can be the precautions one can use to avoid stroke.
