World T20 2014: Australia square off against India in dead rubber

TOP NEWS

DHAKA: Australia will face India in a dead rubber game of the Super 10 stage of the ICC World T20 2014 at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday (today), ARY News reports.

The semi-final chances for Australia are bleak as they have lost two of their matches already. They were first beaten by Pakistan last Sunday then lost to West Indies in a nail-biting encounter on Friday. However, their chances can be revived if Pakistan loses to Bangladesh today and the Kangaroos beat India by a wide margin.

India, on the other hand, has been a team on a mission. They have won all of their matches in a comprehensive manner and will be looking forward to extend their unbeaten streak in the competition. It should be noted that the Blue Shirts haven't lost a toss yet in the tournament.

Australia XI (likely): Aaron Finch, David Warner, Shane Watson, George Bailey, Glenn Maxwell, Brad Hodge, James Faulkner, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Starc, Doug Bollinger and James Muirhead.

India XI (likely): Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami.
