World T20 2014: Proteas set 171 run target for Kiwis

CHITTAGONG: South Africa made 170/6 in their alloted 20 overs against New Zealand in their Super 10 match of the World T20 2014 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury here in Chittagong on Monday (today), ARY News reports.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first in the match. 

Jean Paul Duminy was the top scorer with 86 runs from 43 balls which included 10 boundaries and three sixes whereas opener Hashim Amla made 41 runs from 40 balls. Captain Faf du Plessis and Albie Morkel made 13 runs each. 

Pacers Tim Southee and Corey Anderson took two wickets each whereas Kyle Mills and Nathan McCullum dismissed one batsman each.

New Zealand require 171 runs from 20 overs to win the match.
