TOP NEWS

CHITTAGONG: Two matches of the Super 10 stage of the World T20 2014 will be played on Saturday (today) in which Sri Lanka will take on South Africa whereas New Zealand will face England at Zahur Ahmad Chowdhury Stadium here in Chittagong, ARY News reports.

Although South Africa has been a tough side but they are not being labeled as the favorites to win the World T20 this year. AB de Villiers will have to play his role in earning the two points for the Proteas.

Whereas the Sri Lankan side has been much successful than the South African side when it comes to the Twenty20 World Cup. They played the final in 2009 and 2012. Their Asia Cup win has also lifted the morale of the team as a whole.

Dinesh Chandimal, the Sri Lankan Captain, in a press conference had said that his side was determined to win the World T20 2014.

On the other hand, former World T20 Champions England will face New Zealand in the second fixture of the day.

The English team won the tournament back in the Carribeans in 2010. However, both sides have players that can change the feeling of the game within balls. New Zealand have won only one major ICC event which was the ICC Champions Trophy in 2000.

Both matches are expected to be closely contested.
