World T20: Proteas require 166 to win against S.Lanka

CHITTAGONG: Sri Lanka made 165/7 in their 20 overs against South Africa setting the Proteas a target of 166 to win in their Super 10 match of the World T20 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium at Chittagong on Saturday, ARY News reports.

Earlier, Sri Lankan Captain Dinesh Chandimal won the toss and elected to bat first.

Opener Kusal Parera was the standout batsman for the Sri Lankan team as he made 61 runs from 40 balls whereas Angelo Mathews scored 43 runs from 32 balls. Wicket Keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara made 14 runs from 18 balls.

Spinner Imran Tahir was the pick of the bowlers for the Proteas as he took three wickets whereas Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel took two wickets each.
