World T20 Semi-final: Malinga opts to bat first

MIRPUR: Sri Lanka have won the toss and opted to bat first in  semi-final against West Indies on Thursday at Mirpur, ARY News reported.

Sri Lankan captain Lasith Malinga expressed satisfaction to defend a total rather than chasing considering previous experience against New Zealand and South Africa in the group stage. 

West Indian skipper, Darren Sammy said he would have batted first as well, though West Indies have also had success chasing in this tournament.

West Indies are unchanged while Sri Lanka made one change to the side, bringing in legspinning allrounder Seekkuge Prasanna for Thisara Perera. 

The two playing XI of two sides are as follows, 

West Indies:
