WWE superstar Triple H turns 45 today

Paul Levesque also known by his ring name “Triple H” is celebrating his 45th birthday on Sunday (today), ARY News reports.

Paul Levesque was born on July 27, 1969 in New Hampshire, United States. He is one of the most popular sports-entertainer of the world.

Throughout his professional career, Triple H became World Heavywight Champion, WWE Champion, and Intercontinental Champion multiple times. He also won Tag Team Championship and European Championship once.

He was known for his rivalries with Mick Foley, McMahon Family, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Triple H started sports entertainment career in the independent circuit by the name of Terra Ryzing. He made it to WCW but did not participate live on air and just wrestled once in a Pay-Per View (PPV).

After leaving WCW, he joined the World Wrestling Federation (now World Entertainment) as Hunter Hearst Helmsley.  He took part in the 1996 King of the Ring. He also formed the Degeneration X (DX) alongside Shawn Michaels and Chyna. He became the leader of the group after Shawn Michaels announced retirement due to back injuries.

Triple H suffered a knee injury in 1998 and became part of The Corporation led by the Vince and Shane McMahon.

In 2001, Triple H formed “two man power trip” with Steve Austin. He suffered a torn quad during a tag team match and was out of action for nine months. In 2003, HHH married one of the principle owners of WWE Stephanie Mcmahon.

After his return, Triple H won the Royal Rumble and later became WWE Champion after being Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 18. WWE split into Raw and Smackdown and HHH became the first World Heavyweight Champion.

Triple H formed a new stable called Evolution with Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton and he turned against its members one by one. The group dominated Raw for nearly two years. In 2006, Triple H again formed DX with Shawn Michaels and had a notorious feud with the McMahons.

DX split apart in 2009 and Triple H had different rivalries with superstars such as Randy Orton, Edge, Sheamus, The Great Khali, Legacy (comprising of Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase), CM Punk.

In 2014, he formed another stable called “The Authority” comprising of Stephanie McMahon, Kane and Randy Orton. He brought back “Evolution” but the return of the group lasted only several weeks. The Authority is currently in a feud with Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.

Triple H is one of the most well-known sports entertainers in the world.
