Youm-e-Ali being observed amidst high security
Mourning processions and gatherings will be held across Pakistan to highlight the teachings of Hazrat Ali (R.A). Nauhas and Marsiyas will be recited to remember the fourth caliph.
The mourning procession in Karachi will start from Nishtar Park and will end at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah.
Stringent security measures have been adopted to tackle any unforeseen situation on the occasion. The processions and gatherings will be monitored by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs).
Bomb Disposal Squads (BDS) and sniffer dogs will also be used for clearance of the procession routes.
Cellular services have also been blocked whereas a ban on pillion riding has also been enforced in major cities of the country including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar etc.
