Mourning processions and gatherings will be organized across Pakistan in which Nauhas and Marsiyas will be recited to remember the fourth caliph of Islam. The teachings of Hazrat Ali (R.A) will be highlighted on the occasion.
The main mourning procession in Karachi will be taken out from Nishtar Park which will end at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah.
A security plan for all major cities of Sindh including Karachi was prepared by the provincial authorities on the account of Youm-e-Ali (R.A).
According to the security plan, 4244 policemen will be deployed in South Zone of the city, along with 3896 personnel in West Zone and 1519 policemen in East Zone of the metropolis to ensure no untoward incident takes place on the occasion. Women officers will also be deployed for the security duty.

The entry and exit points of Karachi will be closely monitored as well.
A three-day ban on pillion riding has been placed in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur by Sindh Government.
On the other hand, a security plan has been prepared by the authorities in Lahore as more than 5000 police and security officers will be deployed for security duty on Youm-e-Ali (R.A).
