The young doctors continued on with their protest even on the second day. Owing to their protest strike, OPD service was suspended, which caused immense difficulties to patients. Using the protest strike by young doctors as an excuse, senior doctors also remained absent from duty. The strike even affected laboratory services, since it wasn’t possible to obtain patients’ reports.
On the other hand, the protesting doctors stated they had not been provided salary since the past six months and the administration had failed to take any notice of the predicament. The doctors said, however, that despite the strike, emergency services were being provided as per schedule.
Jinnah Hospital’s administration has failed to take notice of the strike, which entered its second day today.
