Youth killed in cross-border firing by Indian troops in Azad Kashmir

RAWALPINDI: A 20-year-old man was martyred as Indian troops resorted to unproved shelling across the restive Line of Control (LoC), said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, ISPR said that Muhammad Umar Subhani, 20, was martyred when Indian forces targeted civilian population in Samahni sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The military’s media wing said that Pakistan Army responded effectively to the Indian aggression and targeted the Indian post which initiated fire.

Earlier on May 5, a 12-year-old boy and a woman had been martyred while another woman had been injured in Azad Jammu and Kashmir as Indian troops had resorted to unprovoked shelling from across the restive Line of Control on Sunday, said Inter-Services Public Relations.

According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, Indian troops had deliberately targeted civilian population in Tatta Pani and Kot Katira sectors of Azad Kashmir and resultantly a 12-year-old boy, Muhammad Zahid and Nasreen bibi, 45 had been martyred.
