ZAB Death Anniversary: PPP workers throng at Garhi Khuda Bux

LARKANA: The caravans of Pakistan People’s Party workers reaching Garhi Khuda Bux from various parts of Pakistan to pay tribute to the PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on his 38th death anniversary.

The local administration has stepped up security at the mausoleum of Bhuttos in Garhi Khuda Bux, a small town of Larkana district in Sindh.

The PPP leadership will address a public meeting on the occasion.

The processions of party workers arriving Garhi Khuda Bux to attend the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who was hanged after a controversial trial on April 4, 1979.

The PPP workers from Karachi, Thatta, Badin and other cities have left for Larkana in convoys of buses and other vehicles.

In Hyderabad the first caravan of the party workers led by the district PPP president Sagheer Rajput left for Larkana. Around 150 vehicles carrying party workers from Hyderabad will reach Garhi Khuda Bux.

The People’s Youth staged a rally in Larkana, which was attended by the party workers of Malir and other districts. The rally led by Fida Hussain Dakhan marched in various areas of Larkana.

PPP’s cultural wing also organized a rally, which was attended by Ayub Khosa, Khair-un-Nisa Mughal MPA and others.

The roads to the Bhutto’s mausoleum and the venue of the party meeting have been decorated with People’s Party flags and party workers have set up camps to welcome the PPP workers coming from all parts of the country.

Local administration has taken stringent security measures around the venue of the party’s public meeting, while walk-through gates have been arranged for entry in the mausoleum.

Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari will address the public meeting.

Afterwards, the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Pakistan People’s Party will meet at Naudero House to discuss political issues.
