According to a spokesman of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces were facing resistance and firing from the militants in Miranshah and Boya village after which PAF jets pounded their hideouts.
Several terrorists were killed whereas five of their hideouts alongwith explosives were also destroyed.
ISPR spokesman also said that the majority of the killed militants are Uzbeks.
A soldier was also killed as a landmine exploded during the clearance operation in Miranshah.
