In a statement, Zardari said that the ongoing protests and clashes in Indian occupied Kashmir reflect that India is usurping the rights of Kashmiris.

“India should realize why Kashmiris have locked horns with them,” he said.

Zardari added that the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

The former Pakistani president urged the international community to take notice of the human rights abuses carried out by Indian forces against the people of Kashmir.

At least 30 people were reported dead in Indian occupied Kashmir as deadly clashes between Indian troops and protesters continued for the third consecutive day.
