Zardari intervenes to settle govt-opposition dispute

As the dates of Imran Khan’s independence march and Day of Martyrs called by Dr Tahir ul Qadri, are nearing, political unrest is also increasing in the country. In order to contain the rising political temperature, PPP decided to consult other opposition parties.

Former President, Asif Ali Zardari in this regard, made a telephonic contact with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi, and exchanged views with them on the current political scenario of the state.

During the conversation, both the sides agreed upon giving first priority to the measures for national integrity.

Asif Ali Zardari will also discuss affairs pertaining to political instability, with rest of the opposition parties.

Meanwhile, PPP lawmaker, Senator Rehman Malik in his exclusive talk with ARY News, said that democracy will prevail in the state after August 14, however the question whether mid-term elections will take place or not, it depends upon the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif.

Malik suggested PM Nawaz not to cause face-off between the military and the people of Pakistan.
