Zardari leaves for Islamabad; likely to hold key meetings

The former President left for Islamabad in the afternoon on Wednesday. Sources told that Asif Ali Zardari will try to finalize negotiations between all the parties, in order to resolve the persisting political impasse.

He is also expected to hold important meetings with key political figures in Islamabad, sources within PPP have said that the current political crisis is a national issue for which efforts are being made by the leadership of all the political parties.

The PPP patron in-chief seemed quite active in resolving the deadlock, as he held meetings within the party as well as with the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind , a few days earlier.

Zardari has time and again asked the government and the protesting parties to resolve their issue through dialogue.
