ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to file a supplementary reference in the Harish and Company case, nominating former president Asif Ali Zardari as a suspect in it, ARY News reported.
Sources relayed the PPP co-chairman will be named an accused person in the reference over his “non-cooperation” with the bureau in its probe into the case.
It is noteworthy that the anti-graft watchdog has already filed a fifth reference involving Harish and Company against the former president and other suspects. Omni Group’s Abdul Ghani Majeed and the provincial Special Initiative Department’s secretary Ejaz Ahmed have been named key accused in the reference.
According to the bureau, Harish and Company was awarded a contract for water supply by the department but failed to complete the projects and the public funds were allegedly used to meet the expense of Naudero House.

Yesterday, Zardari appeared before a NAB team in the Harish and Company and Opal Properties cases.
Farooq H Naek, the former president’s lawyer, said Zardari stayed at the NAB headquarters for an hour. He said his client had nothing to do with Harish and Company and the main reference didn’t name the PPP chairman.
