KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto announced on Sunday that former president Asif Ali Zardari will return to Pakistan on December 23.

Bilawal, addressing a press conference, said the presence of Zardari will help to get his four demands fulfilled by the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The former president will arrive in Karachi on Dec 23 after staying abroad in Dubai and London for the last several months.

He once again reiterated and called on the government to fulfill his four recommendations. “PPP is the name of an ideology and we will fulfill it,” he said adding that Zardari will receive a cordial welcome upon his return.

Bilawal also denounced the arrest of Dr. Asim Hussain calling him a political victim, and the only leader of a political party who is in custody.

PPP has recently taken a more aggressive tone against the government of Nawaz Sharif, and has even submitted a privilege motion in the National Assembly.

Bilawal has also threatened to launch a movement if his demands are not fulfilled, and said that further course of action will be revealed on Dec 27 on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
