NAUDERO: Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday declared war on former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif saying that he will never reach any compromise with him.

The former president was addressing on the 39th death anniversary of former Prime Minister and PPP founder Zulfikar Bhutto in the town of Garhi Khuda Baksh.

Zardari said he has earlier stated that they will not allow PML-N to choose the next Chairman Senate, and now they will also not allow him to have the next chief minister of Punjab.

“I had said six months ago that I will not let you (Nawaz Sharif) have the chairman Senate,” he said adding that  democracy was more important than the Senate elections.

Zardari also alleged that Nawaz Sharif attempted to create a rift within the PPP over the nomination Raza Rabbani as Chairman Senate. However, he said that Rabbani was a PPP loyalist and did not budge to create further differences.

He said that they brought Balochistan forward for the sake of democracy, as the province was orphaned due to the inefficiencies of the PML-N government.

He said Nawaz Sharif will be held responsible since the forty years, as he backstabbed the PPP on several occasions, but still was allowed to come to power.

“Nawaz Sharif, along with the establishment, backstabbed us on several occasions. But we still chose to forgo and allowed him to come to power.

“Now we have decided that no matter what happen, we will not comprise with you. Our war against you will be ongoing,” he stated.

Terming Nawaz Sharif as a Mughal emperor, Zardari advised him to leave politics and instead form his own state. He said that Nawaz Sharif was acting as the opposition despite having his own government.

He vowed that the PPP will rid the country from his current crises and was ready for the challenge and will tour across Punjab.

“This time we will allow not allow having the chief minister in Punjab,” he vowed adding he had helped rescue the government of Nawaz Sharif on several occasion in the past.

He stated that they will form the government with anyone except Nawaz Sharif. He said Pakistan was getting isolated from friendly countries, but they will restore its status.
