Zil-Hajj moon not sighted, Eid ul Azha on Sep 25

KARACHI: The Zil-Hajj moon was not sighted on Monday and hence Eid ul Azha will be celebrated in the country on September 25, ARY News reported.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held its meeting on Monday to decide about moon sighting, along with zonal bodies.

After the due time for sighting Zil-Hajj moon ended, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee consulted zonal bodies and upon receiving no testimony from any part of country, Mufti Muneeb ur Rahman announced that Zil-Hajj moon was not sighted today and 1st of Zil-Hajj in Pakistan will be observed on September 15.

Subsequently, Eid ul Azha will be celebrated in the country on September 25, he added.
