Enraged students set bus on fire after it ran over classmate in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Enraged mob of college students set a bus on fire here on Friday after it ran over a fellow student and killing him on the spot, ARY News reported.

The unfortunate incident took place in front of the Government Islamic College on Sargodha Road here.

According to rescue sources, the deceased has been identified as Haider Ali, a student of intermediate.

The incident sparked a violent protest as the enraged students set the bus on fire and pelted stones on other vehicular traffic, suspending traffic flow on Sargodha Road for hours.

The violent mob did not stop there and reportedly set three to four buses on fire, keeping the police personnel at bay.

However, later police and rescue officials managed to control the situation after holding talks with angry students and assuring them legal action against the bus driver.
