Unprecedented: Entry tests of Sindh medical colleges conducted together

KARACHI: The admission tests of medical colleges and universities in five major cities of Sindh province are being taken concurrently in an unprecedented way, ARY News reported on Sunday. 

For the first time, the entry tests for medical colleges and varsities in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah are being conducted together in the respective cities of Sindh province.

In Karachi, the tests are being conducted at Dow Medical College, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical College, Lyari Medical College, Karachi Medical and Dental College, Dr Ishrat-ul Ibad Dental College and NED University. As many as 6,000 medical aspirants, including the male and female students, are taking the tests for 1,050 MBBS and 300 BDS seats.

In Sukkur, an estimated figure of 3,200 students are taking an entry test for admissions in five medical colleges of the city under the NTS.

Meanwhile, around 4,700 students are competing for nearly 200 medical seats at Chandka Medical College and 50 seats at Asifa Dental College, the two major medical colleges in Larkana city. The test is being conducted at a police training school.

On the other hand, around 1,100 aspirants are taking entry tests for Peoples Medical University for Women’s 250 seats in Nawabshah.
