European Union delegation calls on Chief Justice of Pakistan

According to a press release by the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, the six member delegation of the EU headed by its Ambassador Jean Francois Cautain, Michael Gahler, Lora Borissova, Hannah Roberts, Alexander Matus and Johan Sorensen met Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Senior Puisne Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan at SC.

“Chief Justice of Pakistan welcomed the delegates and introduced to them the judicial system according to the Constitution of Pakistan. He stated that the Supreme Court of Pakistan examined that fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution are ensured to the people of Pakistan”, the release read.

“Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Senior Puisne Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan explained the measures taken by the Supreme Court for the effective and speedy dispensation of justice without fear or favour”, SC added.

The delegates thanked the Chief Justice of Pakistan as well as Justice Mian Saqib Nisar for sparing time for them and sharing legal experiences and knowledge.
